PET RESQ FOUNDING GOALS:
To provide pet rescue services
Our main focus is rescuing and rehabilitating small dogs and puppies,
most of which have been neglected, handicapped, or abused
Raise Awareness
To stimulate interest and concern in the prevention of animal abuse and neglect.
To rescue
rehabilitate and re-home pets from many situations.
To rescue without prejudice
meaning the health, age, or zip code of an animal does not determine whether
they deserve to be saved. When we can, we always do.
To save lives.
To save animals from being destroyed and work in cooperation with private and governmental agencies to promote the proper care and treatment of animals.
To keep pets with their family
To aid, assist, cooperate, and co-sponsor in situations when needed to keep an animal with its family.
Provide disaster relief
To be heavily involved in all aspects of disaster relief for victims of all species.
Sometimes it costs thousands of dollars to achieve these
goals but we believe all life matters and they are WORTH IT!
We Love Our Volunteers!
We operate strictly on donations with dedicated volunteers and loving foster families. We adopt in our four-state area (most of NY, NJ, PA, CT) no more than 1.5 hours from our location. At this time we do not have a shelter. We rely on our network of fosters so meet-and-greets are by appointment only.
Looking Forward
We're working towards our goal of raising enough funds to purchase a property in Northern Bergen County where we can create a cage-less shelter. The most difficult decision for us is to have to turn down an animal in need for lack of space.
Proud To Be Your Rescue
Pet ResQ Inc. is extremely proud to have been listed as one of the Top 5 rescues in Northern New Jersey. We have also been honored with the Onyx and Breezy's Heart Award, Pets and Heroes Award, The Russ Berrie Award in 2015 & 2017 and Robyn was awarded the Women of Achievement Award from NJ State Federation of Women's Clubs of GFWC in 2018. Most recently, we were awarded Best of 2020 Tenafly.
We have been a recipient of Rachel Ray's Murt Maddness Grant and we participate in Broadway Barks.
